In the context of non-epidemic epidemics, some pig farms have non-epidemic epidemics, resulting in the resumption of breeding after clearing and transformation. Pig farm rehabilitation is a systematic project based on biosecurity measures, which requires a lot of meticulous preparation, including farm biosecurity assessment, comprehensive cleaning and testing of pig farms, etc. Whether the decontamination is complete or not is related to the survival of the pig farm.

 ★Decontamination order: top to bottom, inside to outside, low risk to high risk.

★ Be sure to treat with caustic soda before rinsing to prevent the spread of the virus due to washing

★The dirty area is divided into partitions and flows in one direction.

For the first cleaning, use not less than 5% fire alkali solution to spray and infiltrate all columns, floors and walls 2-3 times. The duration of action is 24 hours.

Use brushes and shovels to mechanically remove all organic matter (feed, manure, dirt, etc.). Remove the chute, pipe, hopper, and clean all organic matter at the bottom of the chute. As much as possible, each person in the unit should be handled in a single house, and the number of staff should be kept sufficient or small.

The manure in the sewage collection tank is first disinfected with dry bleach (25% calcium hypochlorite), and then disinfected with a flame to carry out full-coverage flame disinfection to "carbonize" all the feces that may remain in the wall. This area is sprayed with 2% caustic soda solution and dried. Repeat the operation three times. This is sampled and tested, and if a positive result is present, repeat until the test results are all negative.

Clean the line pipe or barrel and hopper, and the barrel and hopper can be cleaned after soaking potassium bisulfate.

Water-sensitive equipment, can be dismantled to dismantle, if can not be dismantled, use a rag soaked in disinfectant and wipe (such as temperature controller, liquid wire solenoid valve, aviation plug, etc.), wipe and disinfect and wrap the equipment with a plastic bag. It is strictly forbidden to use the same towel across 2 areas when wiping with a towel.

Dismantle, discard and incinerate equipment that cannot be properly disinfected (e.g. emergency lights, fluorescent lamps, etc.).

After the surface of the wall and the fence is decontaminated, it is soaked in fire alkali and rinsed with water, and the corrosive buildings and equipment can be treated with potassium bisulfate and sodium dichloroisocyanurate.

Pay attention to cleaning brick joints, material troughs, fans, floors, manure boards, water bowls, water nozzles, equipment and other details.

After the whole farm was decontaminated and closed for more than 2 weeks, African swine fever virus was detected in multi-point sampling in the pig farm environment for evaluation. After passing the assessment, sentinel pigs should be introduced for trial breeding (10%-20% of the pigs in the farm size, as sentinel pigs) and monitored for 60 days before formal rehabilitation.

During trial farming, whole blood (saliva) is collected weekly and tested by PCR, all dead pigs need to be examined by a veterinarian, and tissues and blood need to be submitted to the laboratory for testing. At the end of the 60-day quarantine period, all pig samples were collected and the pathogen was detected using PCR.

All steps are completed, the quarantine period is over, and the test is negative and production can resume.
