2023 is a year when the aquaculture industry is facing a great test, the continuous rise in raw material prices, the continuous decline in meat prices and milk prices, all of which test the confidence of aquaculture practitioners. In order to better adapt to the changes in the international market and grasp the new situation of recovery, Chairman Yao Jun recently led the team and customers to Europe to carry out a 15-day European aquaculture industry inspection tour.

During this trip to Europe, We visited Schippers, Ghent University, Cooperl, Wageningen University, Cargill, GD Animal Health, VanDrie, Hendrix and other groups to comprehensively understand the development of the European aquaculture industry from the aspects of biosecurity, manure treatment, sustainable development, slaughtering, processing, nutrition, breeding, and talent training. MS Schippers

On the first day of the European trip, the delegation visited MS Schippers, a Dutch company that specializes in creating sterile environments on pig farms. In-depth exchanges with Schheipp representatives on site to understand the development history, corporate culture and related technologies of both sides. Schheipp is a full-system partner of Changrong, and Changrong, together with Wageningen University, Cargill, Siemens, Meisimu, Xinmuhui, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, jointly build smart farms and develop three-dimensional multi-dimensional agriculture.

MS Schippers, as the largest supplier of professional livestock products in Europe, is a professional company with a history of more than 50 years, specializing in creating sterile environments for pig farms. It also uses this leading knowledge to help livestock farmers and provide advice when (urgent) problems arise on the farm.    

Ghent University

Coming to Ghent University, the delegation inspected its discipline construction and comprehensive development of the school, and the two sides discussed the possibility of strengthening cooperation in the future, and Ghent University looked forward to further strengthening cooperation with Changrong, jointly building a talent training system, and cultivating more professional talents for the ranch.

Ghent University is a world-class top university with a high reputation in the world, especially in the basic and applied research fields such as biotechnology, medicine, fisheries, veterinary medicine, psychology, agriculture and forestry, and law. Ghent University has won a total of 4 Nobel Prizes, according to the Shanghai World University Ranking, Ghent University ranks first in the field of veterinary medicine and sixth in the world in agriculture among more than 200 universities in the field of agriculture.

Cooperl

After the visit to Ghent University, the delegation visited the Cooperl Group. Everyone was very impressed by the whole industry chain service of Copley from breeding, nutrition, management, biological control and slaughter, and constantly asked questions and actively communicated.

Wageningen University

During the visit to Wageningen University in the Netherlands, the delegation visited Wageningen University and the Dairy Campus located there, and had in-depth discussions with a number of professors and research supervisors on the pasture talent training system, pasture management philosophy, scientific research technology and methods. As one of the most important partners of Wageningen University in China, Changrong has successfully established a sustainable cooperation platform in talent training and scientific research, and will continue to expand the scope of cooperation in the future to lay a good foundation for long-term and stable cooperation.

Changrong and Wageningen University jointly carry out the China Circular Family Farm Project. The project will take the "2023-2026" four-year cycle as the cycle, use Shanxi as a pilot to conduct circular and sustainable research, and establish a chain collaboration model based on circular seed source and nutrition, environment and pig farm design, health and biosecurity, data and information management, education and training, etc.

Wageningen University, as the top university in the Netherlands in the fields of "agriculture" and "food", is a top institution integrating research, teaching and training, recognized as a leader in the field of life sciences in Europe, and the most prestigious research institution in the field of agriculture and food in the world. Cargill

During the visit to Cargill's Animal Nutrition Netherlands R&D Center, Chairman Yao Jun led the team to have an in-depth discussion with Cargill's complete nutrition system and powerful database, which further strengthened their confidence in the Changrong model. Changrong and Cargill, as a strategic partner of Changrong, jointly established Cargill's first global innovation center in animal nutrition in Asia to empower the farming industry from a nutritional perspective, help improve animal welfare and promote sustainable development of the industry.

GD Animal Health

After Cargill's visit, the delegation came to the Royal GD Animal Health Center and visited GD's laboratory, dissection room, pathological analysis room and other technical units under the guidance of the person in charge. Heard an introduction to the European disease prevention and control system and the cooperation model between the modules. Royal GD Laboratories in the Netherlands provides testing consulting and training to Changrong Laboratories to help solve the biosafety problems of pig farms.

VanDrie

During the inspection of VanDrie, the delegation went deep into its calf slaughterhouse to understand the chain production system such as slaughtering and processing, beef cutting, meat quality standards, and calf breeding, which provided new ideas for the members on veal production. Afterwards, the members of the delegation tasted the veal luncheon, and the tender taste left a deep impression on everyone.
